The problem

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts wanted to grow gift voucher sales. The vouchers were selling well, but almost entirely through the group’s own channels, to customers who already knew the brand. That capped growth at the size of the existing audience. There was no route to corporate buyers, who purchase vouchers in volume for staff rewards and client gifting, and no presence where new customers were already spending on travel.

Our approach

1.

Mapped the untapped channels.

Where new voucher buyers could be reached beyond Macdonald’s own website and hotels, prioritised by revenue potential.

2.

Built a B2B proposition.

Gift vouchers packaged for corporate buyers, with the commercial case and go-to-market approach behind it.

3.

Took it to corporate buyers.

Antorium ran targeted outreach to businesses buying for staff rewards and client gifting.

4.

Opened doors with international airlines.

Antorium made the introductions to European and North American airlines, then worked alongside the Macdonald team through negotiation and agreement.

The results

83% year-on-year increase in gift voucher sales, all within the engagement.

A new B2B revenue stream generating over £200K from corporate gift voucher sales in its first 12 months.

Partnerships with European and North American airlines, taking Macdonald to new international audiences.

We build the outreach, the partnerships, and the commercial strategy that opens new revenue for your business.
